What information do we collect?
When registering on our site, you are asked to enter your name, email address, institution and country. Your email address will be verified by an email containing your password. When you log in using that password, we know that you control the email address.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To manage and improve our site, with the aim of offering an on-line meeting place for researchers and scientists, and on which the information, communications and materials you provide may be published.
- If you give your consent by ticking the corresponding box in the registration form, your username, name, institution, country and website will be displayed in the “Members” section (only visible for members). If not, none of the provided information will be displayed. Your e-mail address will never be displayed.
- To send occasional emails — the email address you provide may be used to send you information, notifications that you request about changes to topics or in response to your inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.
Where is your information stored?
The personal information we collect from you is processed in a file owned by Consorcio CENIEH, acting in compliance with the Spanish privacy protection legislation. To exercise your rights according to the Spanish privacy protection act (Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos – LOPD), please contact Consorcio CENIEH (Ref.
